This policy note was prepared for the <a href=\"http:\/\/ies.ubc.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Institute for European Studies<\/a>, University of British Columbia.<\/p>\n<p>This policy brief explains the core aspects of the Europe 2020 Strategy, the European Union\u2019s ten year economic and employment plan. It will discuss the priorities of the plan, with greater focus on research and education policies, and the ideas on which these goals are based.
