However in order for this policy to reap benefits, air carriers must be able to charge prices inclusive of taxes and charges for the operation of services which generate sufficient demand to allow operators to breach the break-even factor.<\/p>\n<p>This paper will explore the nature of two of the charges paid by passengers which have already been increased in 2010; Airport Improvement Fees and the Air Travelers Security Charge.
