Biography<\/p>\n

Anne Tr\u00e9panier, award-winning author and teacher, is an historian specialized in historiography, a passionate teacher and guest speaker. Carleton teaching fellow, she received the International teaching award D2L 2019.<\/p>\n

\n

Her doctoral research examined recurring historiographical battles and put forward the idea of refoundation (in French : refondation) for exploring the narrative and rhetorical structures of \u201ctextual \u00a0events\u201d canon to Quebec\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

Sense of belonging, national representations, identity narratives, and textual archeology are the compass points of her intellectual queries. Her current research critically explores representations of Canadian and Quebec histories and narratives through theatre and museum representations.<\/p>\n

Anne Tr\u00e9panier serves in the School of Canadian Studies and in the Department of French. She collaborates regularly with Migration and Diaspora Studies and the History Department. She is an active member of Association internationale des \u00e9tudes qu\u00e9b\u00e9coises and an affiliated researcher to the Center for the Study of French Canadian Civilization (University of Ottawa).<\/p>\n

Anne Tr\u00e9panier collaborates frequently to public history projects and initiates academic conferences. She currently serves as historian for the play \u201cL\u2019empire du castor\u201d by Jean-Marc Dalp\u00e9, Alexis Martin, Yvette Nolan and Michael Mackenzie.<\/p>\n

She is the organizer of \u201c\u00c7a Jase en Tiguidou\u201d a Francophone literary festival that takes place annually in Rome.<\/p>\n

Biographie<\/em><\/p>\n

Anne Tr\u00e9panier enseigne \u00e0 l\u2019\u00c9cole d\u2019\u00e9tudes canadiennes et au D\u00e9partement de fran\u00e7ais. Elle collabore r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement au programme d\u2019\u00e9tudes sur la migration et la diaspora ainsi qu\u2019avec le D\u00e9partement d\u2019histoire. Elle est membre du Centre de recherche en civilisation canadienne-fran\u00e7aise de l\u2019universit\u00e9 d\u2019Ottawa et une membre active de l\u2019association internationale des \u00e9tudes qu\u00e9b\u00e9coises. Ses recherches doctorales ont examin\u00e9 les conflits historiographiques et ont propos\u00e9 l’id\u00e9e de refondation pour explorer les structures narratives et rh\u00e9toriques des \u00ab \u00e9v\u00e9nements textuels \u00bb \u00e0 l\u2019origine du canon historique qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois.<\/em><\/p>\n

Anne Tr\u00e9panier est une historienne sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e en historiographie, une enseignante passionn\u00e9e et une autrice prim\u00e9e. Le sentiment d’appartenance, les repr\u00e9sentations nationales, les r\u00e9cits identitaires et l\u2019arch\u00e9ologie textuelle sont les points cardinaux de ses recherches. Ses travaux actuels explorent de mani\u00e8re critique les repr\u00e9sentations de l\u2019histoire canadienne et qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise \u00e0 travers le th\u00e9\u00e2tre et les expositions mus\u00e9ales.<\/em><\/p>\n

Fellow d’enseignement \u00e0 Carleton, elle a re\u00e7u le prix international d’enseignement D2L en 2019. Son plus r\u00e9cent livre <\/em>De l\u2019hydre au castor, repr\u00e9sentations de la Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration dans la presse de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique du nord britannique (1844-1867)<\/a><\/u><\/em>\u00a0a obtenu trois prix : le meilleur livre en \u00e9tudes canadiennes 2024, le prix Pierre-Savard 2025 ainsi que le prix du meilleur livre en histoire politique 2025.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Anne Tr\u00e9panier collabore fr\u00e9quemment \u00e0 des projets de communication de l\u2019histoire et organise des conf\u00e9rences acad\u00e9miques. Elle travaille actuellement en tant qu\u2019historienne- conseil pour la pi\u00e8ce de th\u00e9\u00e2tre \u00ab L\u2019empire du castor \u00bb \u00e9crite par Jean-Marc Dalp\u00e9, Alexis Martin, Yvette Nolan et Michael Mackenzie.<\/em><\/p>\n

Elle est l\u2019organisatrice du festival litt\u00e9raire francophone \u00ab \u00c7a Jase en Tiguidou \u00bb qui a lieu chaque ann\u00e9e \u00e0 Rome.<\/em><\/p>\n
