Amy\u2019s dissertation,\u00a0<strong>Storying Living Memories about Indian Day Schools: Transforming Reconciliation<\/strong>, tells the story of the Restigouche Indian Day School through a combination of living oral memories and archival research. The dissertation is a work in public history that takes steps to rectify the omission of Indian Day Schools from settler-society accounts of colonial schooling and also presses for truly transformative reconciliation. Since 2020, Amy has worked as\u00a0<strong>Governance Policy Associate with the Listuguj Education, Training and Employment sector of the Listuguj Mi\u2019gmaq Government<\/strong>. Listuguj is working to have greater control over education and this includes the articulation of community-led Mi\u2019gmaw Education Standards which center Mi\u2019gmaw worldviews and aspirations.
