His research and practice focus on the architectural translation of culture; in particular, American Indian culture. He is the founding principal of <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.us13.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=e19bf606807c55d7c6f154b31&amp;id=73120f0a63&amp;e=4f248723ec\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">studio:indigenous,<\/a> a design and consulting practice.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Cornelius was among 18 distinguished Indigenous architects and designers from across North America who represented Canada in the Venice Architecture Biennale with the\u00a0exhibit, <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.us13.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=e19bf606807c55d7c6f154b31&amp;id=625f7e94e5&amp;e=4f248723ec\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\">Unceded \u2013 Voices of the Land<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Architecture FORUM Lecture Series Design is Ceremony&#8212;Chris T.
