The School of Canadian Studies (SCS), in partnership with the Indigenous and Canadian Studies Graduate Community (ICGC) is pleased to announce that the\u00a02nd<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Annual SICS Research Symposium<\/strong>\u00a0will take place\u00a0virtually<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Thursday April 7, 2022, from 8:30am \u2013 5:00pm EST. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The theme of this year\u2019s Symposium is\u00a0Continuing the Conversation<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 SICS Research Symposium Continuing the Conversation Event Schedule<\/a><\/p>\n

The Symposium will consist of 5 Sessions:<\/p>\n

Session 1: Priorities from the Speech from the Throne
\n<\/strong>Session 2: Reconceptualizing Knowledge and Research<\/strong>
\nSession 3: Reclaiming Representations, Identities, and Histories
\nSession 4: Decolonial Strategies: (Re)constructing Discourses and Solidarity
\nSession 5: Plenary Session: Continuing the Conversation
\n<\/strong>Session 5 is an open round-table type session where all attendees are invited to share their thoughts on topics discussed throughout the day.<\/em><\/p>\n
