The Jean Monnet Network on EU-Canada Relations is pleased to host a research seminar “EU Trade Policy: Politicization at the limits of Trade Policy Theory”<\/strong> presented by Scott Hamilton with commentary offered by Dirk De Bi\u00e8vre<\/a> from the University of Antwerp.<\/p>\n

The politicization of trans-Atlantic trade represents a theoretical challenge to standard policy frameworks. This presentation will confront the traditional sources of trade policy with globalization backlash, authority transfer, emotive framing and identity politics.<\/p>\n
