The one-day workshop will consist of three consecutive panels:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First, panel participants will discuss the progressive nature of the\u00a0<em>Comprehensive and Economic Trade Agreement<\/em>\u00a0(CETA) between the European Union and Canada.<\/li>\n<li>In the second panel session, participants will discuss the negotiation and ratification process of so-called mixed agreements like CETA. Mixed trade agreements contain topics that fall under exclusive competence of EU institutions (Commission, Parliament and Council)\u00a0<em>as well as<\/em>\u00a0topics that are member state competences, meaning that member state parliaments participate in the process.<\/li>\n<li>Third, the afternoon panel will delve into the implementation of CETA, both in Canada and in the European
