The Jean Monnet Network on EU-Canada Relations was privileged to have Thomas Klotz of the Technical University of Munich<\/a> presenting a lecture on Bee Protection Policy in Europe<\/a> on October 15, 2019. The event had more than twenty people in attendance. Mr. Klotz discussed the current policy challenges surrounding the protection of bee populations in Europe, and the use of petitions and plebiscites in the German states of Bavaria and Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, and in South Tyrol in Italy.
