Bio<\/td>\nErica graduated from Carleton University where she received her MA in Public History, and a PhD in History from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.\u00a0She has been involved in array of historical projects and research initiatives, including the Montreal Life Stories Project<\/a>, the Y Archive Project at the Jewish Public Library in Montreal, the Douglas Cardinal Archive Project<\/a>, and Hate 2.0: Combating Right-Wing Extremism in the Age of Social Technology<\/a>. She is currently the Planning, Programming and Research Officer (APPR) at CIUSSS du Centre-Ouest-de-l’\u00cele-de-Montr\u00e9al.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Research<\/td>\nErica\u2019s MA research examined tourist reception and representation of the former concentration camp of Sachsenhausen through the videos visitors create and upload on the popular social media site of YouTube. By using the methodology of \u201cdark tourism, \u201d the work of social media scholars, and the writings of Walter Benjamin.
