Rebecca Friend (she\/her) is a SSHRC-funded PhD candidate in Public History at Carleton University. She holds an MA in Public History and Graduate Diploma in Curatorial Studies from Carleton, as well as a BA in Honours History from Concordia University in Montr\u00e9al. Her research studies public memories of childhood at Canadian commemoration sites and involves contemporary children in the research process. Rebecca has taught courses for Carleton\u2019s History department and Childhood and Youth Studies program, and also serves as the Book Review Editor for the Journal of Family History.
