CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: <\/strong>CHA PUBLIC HISTORY PRIZE 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le fran\u00e7ais suit<\/em><\/p>\n

The Public History Group of the Canadian Historical Association<\/a> is welcoming nominations for its annual Public History Prize \u2013 deadline for nominations:19 April 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Prizes recognize outstanding public historical work in Canada, and are judged on the following five criteria:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Value and impact for intended audiences;<\/li>\n
  2. Collaboration with relevant communities \/ constituents;<\/li>\n
  3. Contribution to Canadian public understanding of history;<\/li>\n
  4. Sound and rigorous approach to research and presentation;<\/li>\n
  5. Originality and creativity<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    A broad range of content and approaches are eligible for this prize: books, exhibits, films, games, art, interactive presentations, educational resources, walking tours, and more will all be considered.<\/p>\n

    Nominated work will have been completed during the calendar year 2023<\/strong>, and we especially welcome nominations for projects that deal with previously underrepresented or erased histories.<\/p>\n

    Please submit your nomination using this form<\/a> by 19 April 2024<\/strong>. You may nominate your own work!<\/p>\n

    Please be sure to include responses outlining how the project relates to each of the five criteria, and links to supporting materials and pertinent media (for example, images or excerpts of the work). The prize winner will be announced during the annual general meeting of the Canadian Historical Association.<\/p>\n
