Philately in Troubled Times <\/strong>is a SSHRC-funded research project led by Prof. David Dean<\/a> which explores how postage stamps have played, and continue to play, a vital role in shaping national identity through their commemoration of historical events. The objective is not only to generate new knowledge for the scholarly community but to bridge the gap between academic scholarship and the global community of philatelists and stamp collectors.<\/p>\n

David is seeking six 3rd<\/sup>\/4th<\/sup> year honours or graduate students to work on an exploratory phase of the project. This will be a fifteen-hour commitment for which you will be paid $30\/hr.<\/p>\n
