Dr. Prasanna currently works as an Assistant Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) in Himachal Pradesh, India. Prior joining IIT Mandi, he worked as an intermediate geotechnical engineer at BGC Engineering Inc., in Fredericton, Canada. He has extensive consulting and research experience in laboratory soil testing, in-situ testing, and foundation design for various projects across Canada, Middle east, and India. His major research area includes Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, Experimental Soil Mechanics, Critical State Soil Mechanics and Underground structures.
