The Centre for European Studies (EUCE), in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Ottawa and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Montreal are pleased to present as part of its Current Events Series lecture,

The EU’s Role in the United Nations: More than the sum of its members?‘ with Mr Roberto Storaci, Political Affairs and Security Council, European Union Delegation to the United Nations – New York.

The lecture will provide a practitioner’s perspective on the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) in the most recent period; the special relationship between the EU and the United Nations; and the role of the EU’s new diplomatic service, the European External Action Service (EEAS). The lecture will also explore the importance of the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission.

All are welcome to attend the lecture, which will be from 3:00PM – 5:00PM and the reception to follow from 5:00PM – 6:00PM.
