Location:303 Paterson Hall
Cost:Free

The Centre for European Studies in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum is pleased to present:

A talk by Ambassador Dr. Martin Eichtinger Director General for Cultural Policy, Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs

Considering the challenges posed today by secularism, prejudice, and the far right, as well as the increasingly global nature of society, inter-faith dialogue remains a crucial, yet difficult goal for many religious groups in Europe.  Dr. Eichtinger’s talk will outline the current importance and impact of inter-religious dialogue in Europe. Since joining the Austrian Foreign Service in 1986, Dr. Eichtinger has most recently served as Austrian Ambassador to Romania and the Republic of Moldova and Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour.

The event is supported, in part, by a grant from the European Commission. For information contact: ces@carleton.ca or 613 520-2600, ext. 1087.
