The newest classroom lesson plan, “Protecting democracy by fighting disinformation: European lessons”, is now available for teachers and students. \u00a0The European Union<\/a>, 27 member states who share a set of common values of rights, freedoms and democracy, has been fighting fake news in the media as the traditional press has been overtaken by the new media outlets of Facebook, Twitter and others.<\/p>\n

Learn about the best practices among European media and basic journalistic techniques as part of the European lessons to identify when disinformation is being promoted and exercises to improve critical thinking skills to identify fake news.<\/p>\n
