\nInternet Privacy – Positions and Conflicts: Views from Europe and Canada <\/a><\/p>\n

Colin Bennett<\/strong> (University of Victoria) has published extensively on questions of privacy and has written briefing papers for the Privacy Commissioners in Ottawa, London, and Brussels. Currently he is lead investigator in a SSHRCC-funded research project on privacy and social media.<\/p>\n

Maria Farrell<\/strong> has long experience of the struggles between the EU and the US over privacy and the interception of electronic communication after September 11 th . She has also been Policy Executive for Electronic Law at the Law Society of England and Wales.
