The EU 2030 De-carbonization Policy: Public Intervention or Free Market?<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

featuring visiting scholar Dr. Anatole Boute<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

This lecture on the EU renewable energy policy will propose a comparative legal analysis of the challenges that the EU faces regarding the de-carbonization of the electricity system. In addition, Anatole will explore the interaction between free movement of goods and renewable energy subsidies.<\/p>\n

Anatole Boute is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Aberdeen and Legal Advisor to the IFC Russia Renewable Energy Program (The World Bank Group). His research interests include liberalization of electricity and natural gas markets, promotion of renewable energy sources for electricity and heat production, investment protection in the energy sector, climate change law and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
