\"Muravska<\/a>This lecture examines the problem of the\u00a0European Neighbourhood\u00a0countries\u2019\u00a0integration with the\u00a0European Union\u00a0market from two perspectives: the macroeconomic situation as an integral component of the overall transformation process, and the political economy of the regional integration perspectives\u00a0of these countries. This methodological approach serves as a tool for integrating a number of main goals related to the EU\u2019s soft power that require the development and support of civil society in the neighbouring states.<\/p>\n

Dr. Muravska will offer insight into the implementation of the regional arrangements taking into consideration\u00a0the\u00a0new political and economic realities in the Eurasian Single Economic Space, and examine the implications of expanding and adapting the content and approach of the\u00a0Association Agreements and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA). Economic development in Eastern Europe and Caucasus as a precondition for the prosperity and security is\u00a0further\u00a0discussed.<\/p>\n

Dr. Tatjana Muravska<\/a><\/strong> is Professor of Regional and European Integration Studies at the University of Latvia. Since 2000, she has been Director of the Centre for European and Transition Studies, European Studies Masters Programme, Doctoral School for European Integration and Baltic Sea Region Studies, academic coordinator of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and Jean Monnet Chair ad personam at the University of Latvia, and former President of the Latvian European Community Studies Association.
