The research workshop will focus on the integration issues facing migrants and refugees in Canada and in the countries of the European Union, with particular attention given to the pathways to enter the labour market.<\/p>\n

Labour market integration is perceived as a most important measure of integration, leading to successful resettlement and positive long-term integration outcomes for individual migrants, their families, and also for the host country. Yet, these outcomes can vary quite dramatically from one EU member state to another and Canada.<\/p>\n

In this context, some migrant groups may be perceived as being more privileged than other groups. The event will thus also explore integration issues of one such a seemingly privileged group in Canada, i.e. EU citizens.<\/p>\n
