The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at Carleton University<\/strong> provides a focal point for research, teaching and policy outreach activities in European Union Studies in Ottawa, Canada. It is supported by a grant from the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union (2024-26).<\/p>\n

The Centre organizes research and policy dialogue activities to foster collaboration among scholars, the policy and diplomatic community, and civil society. It produces publications dedicated to enriching both scholarly and policy-oriented debates.<\/p>\n

The Centre helps to elevate university students’ EU-related training beyond their standard coursework, by facilitating field work in Europe and engagement in experiential learning initiatives.<\/p>\n

The Centre aims to increase awareness about the EU among high school students through outreach initiatives focused on schools in the Ottawa area. It conducts teacher training seminars, organizes EU-themed mini-conferences for students, and develops EU-related curriculum materials accessible to teachers in Canada and worldwide.<\/p>\n

The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence is co-funded by the European Union.<\/em><\/p>\n
