\"\"The Centre for European Studies (CES) and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (Foundation Office Canada)<\/a> are pleased to announce that Dr. Ram\u016bnas Vilpi\u0161auskas<\/a> has been selected as the 2024 Konrad Adenauer Visiting Scholar on Transatlantic Relations.<\/p>\n

Dr. Vilpi\u0161auskas is a professor of the Institute of International Relations and Political Science, Vilnius University. From 2009 to 2019, he was a director of the Institute. In 2004-2009, he worked as a Chief Economic Policy Advisor to the President of Lithuania, Valdas Adamkus. He also served as Chief of Staff to the President (2006-2009). He is a member of the Lithuanian Progress Council formed by the Government and tasked with the preparation of the long-term strategy Lithuania 2050. His main research interests include public policy analysis and public sector reforms, political economy of European integration, EU public policies, international political economy and transatlantic relations.<\/p>\n

Dr. Vilpi\u0161auskas will spend the Fall 2024 term as scholar-in-residence at Carleton University. He will teach a course on Global Issues and Transatlantic Relations<\/a>. He will conduct research on the implications of U.S. presidential elections for transatlantic economic\/political relations and the management of the war in Ukraine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
