His research interests include space robotics, the design of serviceable satellites, on-orbit satellite servicing, the design and analysis of planetary rovers, the design of entry, descent, and landing systems for planetary exploration, robotic drills &amp; instrumentation for astrobiological surveys, and biomimetic design for space applications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">His primary expertise applies robotics and artificial intelligence to space exploration, including exploiting planetary in-situ resources and using 3D printing technology to extraterrestrial material.
