Sandra Crocker is the\u00a0Associate Vice-President (Strategic Partnerships and Operations) at Carleton University.<\/p>\n
She\u00a0is part of the senior management group in the Office of the\u00a0Vice-President (Research & International)\u00a0responsible for planning, developing and implementing a comprehensive research support strategy for Carleton.<\/p>\n
Sandra has a distinguished and accomplished career in research administration, most recently holding positions at McGill University as Assistant Vice-Principal (Strategic Planning and Partnerships) in the Office of the Vice-Principal (Research and International Relations). Prior to this she had a long career at Queen\u2019s University culminating as Associate Vice-Principal (Research) in the Office of the Vice-Principal Research, where she was responsible for promoting multi-faceted research initiatives involving cross-disciplinary teams of researchers and external industrial and community partners.<\/p>\n
She recently completed a two-year term as Past President of the Canadian Association of University Research Administrators (CAURA). Ms Crocker has served on the review panels for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in addition to provincial and internal grant review panels. She is a member of the International Society for Research Administration, and has served on the editorial review board for the Journal of Research Administration. She has held positions on the Board of Directors of the BioCap Canada Foundation, Insect Biotec Canada Inc., the Kingston Technology Council and the Ontario Centre of Excellence for Communications and Information Technology. She served as the President of the Kingston Technology Exchange Centre, a not-for-profit research incubator, and as Chair of the Eastern Lake Ontario Regional Innovation Network. Most recently she has joined the Board of Directors of The Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information (CASRAI).<\/p>\n
