He was the host of CBC Ottawa’s drive home radio show All in a Day and then the anchor of CBC Ottawa News at Six. Harewood was also long-time host of the CBC weekly cultural magazine show, Our Ottawa. In 2020, he won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Local Anchor.<\/p>\n<p>Harewood joined Carleton’s <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/sjc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">School of Journalism and Communication<\/a> as a faculty member in 2021 and has since created the school’s first-ever course focused on race as well as the first course in Canada devoted to the study of the history of Black Canadian journalism.<\/p>\n<p>Harewood is a member of the Canadian Association of Journalists, the Canadian Association of Black Journalists, and the National Association of Black Journalists.
