And don\u2019t forget to register for fall and winter as soon as your <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/registrar\/registration\/timeticket-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">timeticket<\/a> allows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"eight-steps-to-registration\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eight Steps to Registration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Get the <a href=\"http:\/\/central.carleton.ca\/prod\/bwysched.p_select_term?wsea_code=EXT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">list of courses that are being offered<\/a>\u00a0in the summer or fall and winter semesters. \u00a0It is important that you register for both your <strong>fall and winter courses as soon as your <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/registrar\/registration\/timeticket-information\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">timeticket<\/a> allows<\/strong>. Courses fill up quickly. All the courses you need for first year in the B.Sc. are listed <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/registrar\/registration\/degree-guides\/bachelor-of-science-support-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>. Progression Charts can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/chemistry\/current-students\/undergraduate\/degree-progression-charts\/\">here<\/a> for upper year students (please watch your catalog year!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0<strong>Compare\u00a0the course offerings to your <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/academicadvising\/your-academic-audit\/how-to-read-your-audit\/94-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">audit<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>to ascertain what you require to complete your degree. Your audit is the most important document you have at Carleton, as it tells you how you\u00a0are doing and what you need to do to graduate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Review the\u00a0requirements <\/strong>for:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/academicregulationsandrequirementsforthebachelorofsciencedegree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">advanced science faculty electives,\u00a0<\/a>approved <a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/academicregulationsandrequirementsforthebachelorofsciencedegree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">arts and social science courses<\/a> &amp;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/academicregulationsandrequirementsforthebachelorofsciencedegree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">science continuation courses.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Run a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/academicadvising\/your-academic-audit\/why-add-hypothetical-courses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hypothetical Courses<\/a>\u201d\u00a0audit <\/strong>to determine whether your course selections will meet your degree requirements. You can even assign hypothetical grades to determine how your GPA would change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Review<\/strong> the general <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/registrar\/registration\/registration-information\/new-undergraduates\/registration-assistance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">registration assistance<\/a> and general <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/registrar\/registration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">registration information<\/a>.\u00a0The <a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">undergraduate calendar<\/a> (for the <a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/archives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">year that you entered<\/a> Carleton) has all the rules and regulations that govern your degree requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you would like to register for a course but are restricted because you do not meet the prerequisites or it is restricted to students in a different program, you can submit an <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/registrar\/registration\/access-courses\/submitting-registration-override-request\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">override request<\/a><\/strong>.
