In addition to taking graduate courses, graduate students make significant contributions in the&nbsp;research program of a faculty member. Our graduate students further their education in chemistry, author original publications, present their work at scientific conferences, mentor undergraduate researchers, and gain experience as teaching assistants in undergraduate laboratory classes. In addition, faculty and students often collaborate with other Carleton departments, and federal agencies in Ottawa including the National Research Council, the National Science Library (CISTI), Health Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Natural Resources Canada, and Agriculture Canada.
