And don\u2019t forget to register for fall and winter as soon as your <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/registration\/dates\/timetickets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">timeticket<\/a> allows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"eight-steps-to-registration\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eight Steps to Registration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Get the <a href=\"http:\/\/central.carleton.ca\/prod\/bwysched.p_select_term?wsea_code=EXT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">list of courses that are being offered<\/a>&nbsp;in the summer or fall and winter semesters. &nbsp;It is important that you register for both your <strong>fall and winter courses as soon as your timeticket allows<\/strong>. Courses fill up quickly. All the courses you need for first year in the B.Sc. are listed <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/registration\/course-selection-guide\/b-sc-supplement\/chem-majors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>. Progression Charts can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/chemistry\/current-students\/undergraduate\/#course-and-program-information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> for upper year students (please watch your catalog year!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;<strong>Compare&nbsp;the course offerings to your <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/academicadvising\/how-to-read-your-audit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">audit<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>to ascertain what you require to complete your degree. Your audit is the most important document you have at Carleton, as it tells you how you&nbsp;are doing and what you need to do to graduate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Review the&nbsp;requirements <\/strong>for:&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/academicregulationsandrequirementsforthebachelorofsciencedegree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">advanced science faculty electives,&nbsp;<\/a>approved <a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/academicregulationsandrequirementsforthebachelorofsciencedegree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">arts and social science courses<\/a> &amp;&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/regulations\/academicregulationsandrequirementsforthebachelorofsciencedegree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">science continuation courses.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Run a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/academicadvising\/what-if-audit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hypothetical Courses<\/a>\u201d&nbsp;audit <\/strong>to determine whether your course selections will meet your degree requirements. You can even assign hypothetical grades to determine how your GPA would change.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Review<\/strong> the general <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/registration\/registration-support\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">registration assistance<\/a> and general <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/registrar\/registration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">registration information<\/a>.&nbsp;The <a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/undergrad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">undergraduate calendar<\/a> (for the <a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/archives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">year that you entered<\/a> Carleton) has all the rules and regulations that govern your degree requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you would like to register for a course but are restricted because you do not meet the prerequisites or it is restricted to students in a different program, you can submit an <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/registration\/override-requests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">override request<\/a><\/strong>.
