\n 2024 Walker Summer Research Award\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

Undergraduate students are invited to apply for a 2024 Walker Summer Research Award.<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The<\/b> Walker<\/b> Summer<\/b> Research<\/b> Award<\/b> was<\/b> established<\/b> by<\/b> Dr.<\/b> Graham<\/b> Walker,<\/b> a<\/b> 1970 <\/b>BSc<\/b> Honours<\/b> in<\/b> Chemistry<\/b> graduate<\/b> from<\/b> Carleton<\/b> University,<\/b> who<\/b> is <\/b>currently<\/b> a<\/b> professor<\/b> in<\/b> the<\/b> Department<\/b> of<\/b> Biology<\/b> at<\/b> MIT.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the award is to assist promising undergraduate students in gaining research experience with a research group in Chemistry or Biochemistry at Carleton during the summer months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interested Undergraduate students can apply to the Walker Award Committee:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The application must include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. A cover letter outlining your research experience, your aspirations for a career in research, and a brief description of your intended summer research project. One or two pages is sufficient for this letter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. A written affirmation of interest from your intended faculty supervisor to support you for the summer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Your contact information.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
