Shakespeare: A Celebration



 Date: Thursday, September 22nd
Time: 7:30 p.m.  Reception to Follow.



Place: 303 Paterson Hall, Carleton University 



This celebration will commemorate the genius of Shakespeare for the 4th centenary of his death in 2016. The evening will consist of scenes and readings from the bard’s works and will be hosted by the Shakespearean scholar Dr. Ian Cameron who will introduce Shakespeare and set the passages in context.



Readings will be given from: Henry V, Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth, Julius Caesar, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado about Nothing, The Merchant of Venice, The Tempest. 



The performers will be (in alphabetical order): Jason Abdelhadi, Josh Beer, Douglas Campbell, Lyndra Griffith, Shannon Kehoe, Gail Larose, Sarah Trick, Rebecca Warmington.
