The call aims at supporting proposals that explicitly address a scenario dimension<\/strong>, taking into account the following definition of scenarios: \u201cScenarios of biodiversity and ecosystem services are the outputs of the combination of scenarios of indirect drivers and direct drivers \u2014 such as land use change, invasive alien species, overexploitation, climate change or pollution \u2014 and models of impacts of these drivers on biodiversity and ecosystem services.\u201d<\/p>\n

Scientific teams are invited to form international consortia comprising research groups from at least three countries<\/strong> participating in the call. Proposals should also clearly demonstrate the added value linked to the international nature of the projects<\/strong> and to the level of collaboration between teams from different countries.\u00a0 Consortia are highly encouraged to involve at least two teams from two different EU Member States or H2020 Associated Countries to be eligible for EC funding.<\/p>\n

Eligibility of projects and research groups<\/h3>\n

The call is open to proposals and research consortia that meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The international, scientific research projects are performed by eligible research organisations.\u00a0National\/regional eligibility criteria (see funding organisations\u2019 rules) apply to research organisations and for participation by private sector (profit and non-profit) organisations<\/li>\n
  2. The main applicant is employed by an eligible organisation in one of the countries participating to\u00a0the call<\/li>\n
  3. The project proposal involves teams from at least three different countries participating in the joint Belmont Forum \/ BiodivERsA call and will be supported by at least three different funders.<\/li>\n
  4. The project duration is 3 years.<\/li>\n
  5. Proposals must be written in English.<\/li>\n
  6. The scope or scale of the proposed research should exceed a single country.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
