GENDER-NET Plus brings<br \/>\ntogether a consortium of 16 partners from 13 different countries including Canada. It is<br \/>\nan important opportunity to fund research projects that will promote the integration of sex<br \/>\nand gender analysis into research at an international level.<\/p>\n<p>GENDER-NET Plus is the first European Research Areas (ERA) Network (NET) Cofund<br \/>\nwith the aim of fostering the integration of sex- and gender-based analysis (SGBA) into<br \/>\nresearch and funding programs. The joint call invites interdisciplinary applications<br \/>\nexploring sex and gender effects and dimensions in research topics relating to one or<br \/>\nmore of the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG3 \u2013<br \/>\nGood Health and Well-Being, SDG 9 \u2013 Infrastructure, Industrialization and Innovation,<br \/>\nand SDG 13 \u2013 Climate Action.<\/p>\n<h3>Opportunity<\/h3>\n<p>On the heels of a very successful Gender Summit in Montr\u00e9al last November, the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) is pleased to participate in the GENDER-NET Plus Joint Call for proposals.<\/p>\n<p>The Joint Call invites interdisciplinary applications exploring sex and gender effects and dimensions in research topics relating to one or more of the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):<\/p>\n<ul class=\"square\">\n<li class=\"first-child\">SDG 3 &#8211; Good health and well-being<\/li>\n<li>SDG 9 &#8211; Infrastructure, Industrialization and Innovation<\/li>\n<li>SDG 13 &#8211; Climate Action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>To be eligible for funding from NSERC, the team must include one or more researchers in the natural sciences and engineering who are eligible to hold NSERC funds. Refer to NSERC\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/NSERC-CRSNG\/Eligibility-Admissibilite\/faculty-corpsprof_eng.asp\">Eligibility Criteria for Faculty<\/a>\u00a0for more details.<\/p>\n<p>Expenses for this initiative must comply with the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/Professors-Professeurs\/FinancialAdminGuide-GuideAdminFinancier\/index_eng.asp\">Tri-Agency Financial Administration Guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must agree to terms and conditions at the time of application and when accepting the award. The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/_doc\/Professors-Professeurs\/Form101-TC_e.pdf\">Terms and Conditions for Applying form<\/a>\u00a0(one per NSERC-eligible participant), must be completed, signed and submitted directly on or before the pre-proposal submission deadline to the organization contact point.<\/p>\n<h3>Funding Available<\/h3>\n<p>NSERC will provide direct funding to eligible researchers to participate in natural sciences and engineering research falling under SDG9 and SDG13 topics only.
