Opportunity<\/h3>\n

The Shastri Programme Development Grant (SPDG) is devised in order to encourage scholarly and professional academic activities with a view to contributing to the expansion of knowledge about India or Canada at Indian \/Canadian universities that are member of the Shastri Institute<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Among the activities included for grant consideration are conferences, symposia, workshops, lecture series and theme based orientation programmes for students of CMC\/IMC to familiarize them with India and Canada are specially encouraged to apply. A tripod arrangement involving two or more institutions for CMC\/IMC and Shastri Institutions will be considered favourably to promote movement of students between two countries. Applications are especially encouraged for innovative ideas and activities encompassing different pedagogy involving youth of India and Canada that is likely to promote or expand knowledge about India or Canada. Please note that for purposes of all SICI granting programs, \u2018research\u2019 shall be deemed to include creative activity conducted within the structures and programs of a member institution. Applications are also invited for the part grant involving other funding agencies. A joint application from institutions of Indian Member Council or Canadian Member Council or even collaborated proposals involving one Indian and one Canadian member institution is also encouraged.<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/h3>\n

Full time faculty from Member institutions<\/a> of Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute can apply for the grant.<\/p>\n

Funding Available<\/h3>\n

Up to 1,00,000 INR (1 lakh) — 3,00000 INR (3 lakh) depending on the nature of the Programme\/ Activity proposed.<\/p>\n
