Fox Foundation \u2013 Therapeutic Pipeline Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Opportunity<\/h3>\n<p>The Therapeutic Pipeline Program is open to industry and academic investigators proposing novel approaches or repositioning approved or clinically safe therapies from\u00a0other disease\u00a0indications. Part of our\u00a0Edmond J. Safra Core Programs for PD Research, the Therapeutic Pipeline Program advances Parkinson&#8217;s disease therapeutic and intervention development along the pre-clinical and clinical path.<\/p>\n<p>Therapies aiming to address one of the following treatment challenges:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Protection or restoration of degenerating and\/or dysfunctional neurons affected in Parkinson\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Alleviation of disabling motor or non-motor symptoms of Parkinson\u2019s not well managed by current treatments<\/li>\n<li>Reduction of complications and side effects of current Parkinson\u2019s treatments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pharmacological interventions as well as biologic, gene therapy, surgical and non-invasive\/non-pharmaceutical approaches are appropriate.\u00a0MJFF is particularly interested in early stage drug discovery efforts for novel PD relevant targets for which there are limited drug campaigns currently active and efforts focused on developing therapeutics that alleviate non-motor symptoms.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Applications may be submitted by researchers or clinicians in:<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle0\">U.S. and non-U.S. biotechnology\/pharmaceutical companies, or other publicly or privately held for-profit entities; and<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle3\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle0\">U.S. and non-U.S. public and private non-profit entities, such as universities, colleges, hospitals, laboratories, units of state and local governments and eligible agencies of the federal government.<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle0\">Post-doctoral fellows are <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle4\">not <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle0\">eligible to apply as principal investigators.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Funding Available<\/h3>\n<p><span class=\"fontstyle0\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Up to $500,000 for Pre-clinical Program<br \/>\n<\/span><span class=\"fontstyle0\">\u2022 <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">Up to $2,000,000 for Clinical Program<br \/>\nFinal budgets will be determined based on review of proposed work and MJFF role. <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">MJFF may not be able to support all costs for a proposed therapeutic development plan and applicants are encouraged to leverage additional sources of funding and resources. <\/span><span class=\"fontstyle2\">These budgets include direct and indirect costs.
