They offer exciting new learning opportunities and a chance to add some sparkle to your CV.<\/p>\n<h3>TYPES OF INDIVIDUAL FELLOWSHIPS<\/h3>\n<p>There are two types of Individual Fellowships:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>European Fellowships<\/li>\n<li>Global Fellowships<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>European Fellowships<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>are open to researchers moving within Europe, as well as those coming in from other parts of the world.<\/li>\n<li>can restart a research career after a break, such as parental leave.<\/li>\n<li>can help researchers coming back to Europe find a new position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These Fellowships are held in the <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/participants\/data\/ref\/h2020\/other\/wp\/2016-2017\/annexes\/h2020-wp1617-annex-a-countries-rules_en.pdf\">EU or associated countries<\/a> and last for one to two years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Global Fellowships<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>fund positions outside Europe for researchers based in the <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/participants\/data\/ref\/h2020\/other\/wp\/2016-2017\/annexes\/h2020-wp1617-annex-a-countries-rules_en.pdf\">EU or associated countries<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>last between two and three years.<\/li>\n<li>the researcher has to come back for one year to an organisation based in the EU or associated countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both types of Fellowship can also include a <strong>secondment period<\/strong> of up to three or six months in another organisation in Europe.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>This action is for <strong>experienced researchers <\/strong>from across the world.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants need a doctoral degree or at least four years\u2019 full-time research experience by the time of the call deadline.<\/p>\n<h3>Funding<\/h3>\n<p><strong>All research areas<\/strong> can be funded. MSCA Fellows come from a wide variety of disciplines \u2013 from physics to linguistics, and from health-sciences to mathematical modelling.<\/p>\n<p>The grant provides an <strong>allowance to cover living, travel and family costs<\/strong>. In addition, the EU contributes to the training, networking and research costs of the fellow, as well as to the management and indirect costs of the project.
