Research Internship \u2013 Call for Applications (2022)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong>Opportunity<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Mitacs has partnered with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.daad.de\/en\/\">German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)<\/a>, to support the mobility of students from Canadian universities to German universities and institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The RISE-Globalink Research Internship (RISE-GRI) is a competitive initiative that offers undergraduate students at Canadian universities in the fields of biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, earth science, and physics the opportunity to participate in a research project supervised by a doctoral student at a German university or institution.<\/p>\n<p>Projects should last approximately three months (and at least 10 weeks) and must begin between May 15 and July 10, 2023.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or international student<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Students with German citizenship must be able to prove that they have been living outside of Germany for six or more years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be at least 18 years of age<\/li>\n<li>Be registered for full-time undergraduate studies at a Canadian university in the field of biology, chemistry, computer science, physics, earth sciences, or engineering (or a closely related field), and remain as such during the RISE-GRI<\/li>\n<li>Have completed at least two years in a four- or five-year undergraduate degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Funding<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Mitacs provides $6,000\u00a0to support the student\u2019s travel costs and living expenses<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Deadlines<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The call for applications will will close on\u00a0<strong>December 15, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Submitting Your Application<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Students review the list of available projects in their discipline on the RISE Germany internship database<\/li>\n<li>Students submit RISE-GRI applications through the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.daad.de\/rise\/en\/rise-germany\/find-an-internship\/application-portal\/?utm_source=Deans+Chairs+Eng&amp;utm_campaign=f6c2401698-Mitacs-RiseDAAD-Call-Deans-ENG-Nov102020&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_644be22dfe-f6c2401698-\">RISE Germany portal<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Canadian applicants who meet Mitacs\u2019s eligibility criteria will automatically be considered for Mitacs funding, which will be awarded to the 100
