The FCRF New Research Collaboration Program <\/strong>funds new collaborations between French and Canadian teams in all fields of research. The grant is awarded to two-year projects in amounts ranging from $8,000 to $15,000 CAD, to support the mobility of researchers and their students between the two countries. All institutions in France are eligible as partners.<\/p>\n

The France Canada Research Fund is a major instrument of Franco-Canadian scientific cooperation, created in 2000 through an agreement between the French Embassy in Canada and a consortium of Canadian universities. The FCRF is currently made up of twenty three member universities and supports 15 new projects each year under the New Research Collaboration Program, which promotes interdisciplinary collaborations and the training of young researchers.<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Tenured or tenure-track faculty members in any field of research. The PIs must not have worked together on a funded project previously. The proposed project must include graduate students or postdoctoral fellows.<\/p>\n

Funding Available<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The grants are awarded for a period of two years and the amount can vary from $8,000 to $15,000 CAD to cover mobility expenses for visits between France and Canada. The funding is transferred to the Canadian institution.<\/p>\n

How to Apply
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Please send an expression of interest to Sylvie Jasen<\/a>, International Projects Coordinator and FCRF Correspondent at Carleton.\u00a0 Sylvie will provide information on the competition and will obtain an institutional signature on the application. Please note that the OVPRI approval form in cuResearch must be submitted and approvals provided before the institutional signature is secured.<\/p>\n
