{"id":25909,"date":"2024-09-13T14:47:12","date_gmt":"2024-09-13T18:47:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/ci\/?p=25909"},"modified":"2024-09-13T14:48:36","modified_gmt":"2024-09-13T18:48:36","slug":"eu-and-canada-health-policy-dialogue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/ci\/2024\/eu-and-canada-health-policy-dialogue\/","title":{"rendered":"EU and Canada Launch Health Policy Dialogue to Advance Health Priorities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On September 9, 2024, Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella\u00a0Kyriakides, and Canada\u2019s Minister of Health, the Honourable Mark\u00a0Holland,\u00a0held a virtual meeting to launch the EU-Canada Health Policy Dialogue under the EU-Canada Strategic Partnership Agreement.<\/p>\n<p>The Health Policy Dialogue is focused on cooperation across three priority areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>antimicrobial resistance<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>health security (including climate-related health risks)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>non-communicable diseases (including cancer and mental health)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A series of knowledge exchanges between the EU and Canada on these priority areas will be organized following this Dialogue.
