This program <\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\">offers grants to <\/span><span lang=\"EN-CA\">full-time Canadian faculty for short-term teaching and\/or research activities in Latin America and the Caribbean.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The program enables professors at Canadian post-secondary institutions to pursue short-term research and\/or teaching activities in Latin America and the Caribbean as a means of exploring, creating and advancing institutional partnerships in the areas of research, student mobility, joint programming, capacity building, and others. The primary objective of the exchange is to create new institutional collaborations and\/or to strengthen existing agreements between Canadian and non-Canadian post-secondary institutions eligible under the Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note that Carleton International must apply on behalf of the faculty member.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more details on eligibility and application requirements, please visit the program description at EduCanada: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.educanada.ca\/scholarships-bourses\/can\/institutions\/elap_faculty-pfla_professeurs.aspx?lang=eng\">Faculty Mobility for Partnership Building Program<\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Candidates must be full-time faculty members at Canadian postsecondary institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Grant recipients must teach or conduct research in the following eligible ELAP countries:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Caribbean<\/strong>: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Central America<\/strong>: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama;<\/li>\n<li><strong>North America<\/strong>: Mexico;<\/li>\n<li><strong>South America<\/strong>: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Value and Duration<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The maximum grant value per project is CAD 7,000. Recipients may seek additional funding from other sources (private or public).<\/p>\n<p>The duration of the mobility is three (3) weeks minimum and eight (8) weeks maximum. Successful candidates may extend their stay with funds from other sources.<\/p>\n<p>All funds provided by DFATD related to the project must be spent <strong>by March 31, 2026<\/strong>.
