Pendant de nombreuses ann\u00e9es avant l&#8217;enqu\u00eate COVID-19, <a href=\"https:\/\/members.volunteer.ca\/vdemo\/National%20Volunteer%20Action%20Strategy\/National%20Action%20Strategy%20Roadmap_EN_.pdf\">les taux de b\u00e9n\u00e9volat sont rest\u00e9s relativement stables<\/a>, le b\u00e9n\u00e9volat formel variant de 41 % \u00e0 47 % et le b\u00e9n\u00e9volat informel de 74 % \u00e0 83 % entre 2004 et 2018 chez les Canadiennes et les Canadiens \u00e2g\u00e9.e.s de 15 ans et plus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toutefois, le nombre de personnes qui font du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat dans le pays a consid\u00e9rablement diminu\u00e9 au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es. Depuis la fin de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e 2022, plusieurs rapports ont montr\u00e9 que les taux de <a href=\"https:\/\/thephilanthropist.ca\/2023\/03\/volunteerism-in-crisis-or-at-a-crossroads\/\">b\u00e9n\u00e9volat formel sont tomb\u00e9s \u00e0 un \u00ab niveau historiquement bas \u00bb.<\/a> Par exemple, notre enqu\u00eate <a href=\"https:\/\/carletonu.yul1.qualtrics.com\/reports\/RC\/public\/Y2FybGV0b251LTYzZGE4YWM4NTljZGY3MDAyMWYwMjNlYi1VUl85enhKcHR6aDB1N3ZjYTE=\">PCPOB semaine 7<\/a> (PCPOB 1.2.7) a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que pr\u00e8s de six organisations caritatives sur dix (59 %) ont signal\u00e9 une perte de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, et plus de la moiti\u00e9 (57 %) ont trouv\u00e9 que le recrutement de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles \u00e9tait difficile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notre <a href=\"https:\/\/carletonu.yul1.qualtrics.com\/reports\/RC\/public\/Y2FybGV0b251LTY2MTAwMWZkZmY5OWQ2MDAwODhlNGYyZC1VUl85enhKcHR6aDB1N3ZjYTE=\">r\u00e9cente enqu\u00eate<\/a> PCPOB (PCPOB 2.5.15) montre quelques signes d&#8217;un changement dans la tendance du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat : 33 % des organisations ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 r\u00e9tablir ou m\u00eame \u00e0 d\u00e9passer leur nombre de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles d&#8217;avant la pand\u00e9mie, tandis que 41 % ont partiellement r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles perdus. Toutefois, pr\u00e8s d&#8217;une organisation caritative sur quatre (24 %) n&#8217;a pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 les recruter \u00e0 nouveau.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>L&#8217;\u00e9volution des int\u00e9r\u00eats des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles : Le plus grand obstacle \u00e0 la capacit\u00e9 des organisations caritatives \u00e0 recruter des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, sur la base de 315 r\u00e9ponses en texte libre (PCPOB 1.6.27), le principal obstacle \u00e9tait l&#8217;impact de COVID-19, suivi par les changements dans les int\u00e9r\u00eats des volontaires. Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter que cette ann\u00e9e, nous avons observ\u00e9 un changement. Les changements dans les int\u00e9r\u00eats des volontaires sont devenus le principal d\u00e9fi, affectant au moins 52 % des organisations (PCPOB 2.5.15).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"406\" height=\"266\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-9.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3262\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-9.png 406w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-9-200x131.png 200w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-9-400x262.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 406px) 100vw, 406px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"440\" height=\"253\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-10.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3263\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-10.png 440w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-10-200x115.png 200w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-10-400x230.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Les commentaires de nos pan\u00e9listes dans l&#8217;enqu\u00eate de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re (PCPOB 1.6.27) indiquent que les changements dans les int\u00e9r\u00eats des volontaires, en particulier parmi les jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, impliquent un d\u00e9sint\u00e9r\u00eat croissant parmi les jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, qui favorisent de plus en plus les poursuites personnelles et les projets \u00e0 court terme plut\u00f4t que les engagements traditionnels de volontariat \u00e0 long terme :<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"not-prose cu-quote cu-component-spacing\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c<em>Parce qu&#8217;il y a moins de gens engag\u00e9 dans le b\u00e9n\u00e9volat depuis quelques ann\u00e9es\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cI find that there is a gap between the older generation who used to give freely of their time to volunteer but are now too old to volunteer, and the younger generation who are starting to volunteer but only in their specific, narrow areas of interest and the middle generation, they don&#8217;t volunteer at all for anything\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cmany want short transactional volunteer engagements rather than short engagements for 3-6 months\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Voir le plus grand obstacle comme la cl\u00e9 de la crise du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat : Le\u00e7ons tir\u00e9es des r\u00e9ussites<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e9volution des int\u00e9r\u00eats ou des pr\u00e9f\u00e9rences des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles peut \u00eatre li\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9volution de la conception du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat. <a href=\"https:\/\/members.volunteer.ca\/vdemo\/National%20Volunteer%20Action%20Strategy\/National%20Action%20Strategy%20Roadmap_EN_.pdf\">La feuille de route de la Strat\u00e9gie nationale sur le b\u00e9n\u00e9volat de B\u00e9n\u00e9voles Canada<\/a> sugg\u00e8re que le concept traditionnel du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat ne refl\u00e8te pas enti\u00e8rement les tendances actuelles parmi les jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations et les divers groupes culturels, qui sont de plus en plus attir\u00e9s par des activit\u00e9s informelles et locales qu&#8217;ils per\u00e7oivent comme plus accessibles, plus flexibles et plus efficaces que les r\u00f4les traditionnels des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles. <a href=\"https:\/\/www150.statcan.gc.ca\/n1\/pub\/75-006-x\/2021001\/article\/00002-eng.htm\">Selon Tara Hahmann de Statistique Canada<\/a>, bien que la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration Z soit celle qui consacre le moins de temps au b\u00e9n\u00e9volat, elle est la plus active dans les types de b\u00e9n\u00e9volat formel et informel, principalement motiv\u00e9e par les possibilit\u00e9s d&#8217;am\u00e9lioration de la carri\u00e8re et susceptible de partager ses exp\u00e9riences de b\u00e9n\u00e9volat sur les m\u00e9dias sociaux. En s&#8217;adaptant \u00e0 ces tendances et en tirant parti des prouesses num\u00e9riques des jeunes b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, de nombreux organismes de bienfaisance ayant particip\u00e9 \u00e0 notre enqu\u00eate ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 surmonter les difficult\u00e9s de recrutement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"462\" height=\"256\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-12.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3265\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-12.png 462w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-12-200x111.png 200w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-12-400x222.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 462px) 100vw, 462px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"469\" height=\"236\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-13.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3267\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-13.png 469w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-13-200x101.png 200w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cicp-pcpob\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/26\/image-13-400x201.png 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 469px) 100vw, 469px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Offrir des opportunit\u00e9s flexibles, bien d\u00e9finies et peu contraignantes est l&#8217;une des quatre strat\u00e9gies les plus efficaces que de nombreux organismes caritatifs adaptent pour recruter des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles dans l&#8217;enqu\u00eate de cette ann\u00e9e (PCPOB 2.5.15). L&#8217;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, c&#8217;\u00e9tait l&#8217;approche efficace la plus fr\u00e9quemment cit\u00e9e pour le recrutement de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles (PCPOB 1.6.27). Comme l&#8217;ont dit certain.e.s pan\u00e9listes :<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"not-prose cu-quote cu-component-spacing\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cA variety of opportunities that are flexible and with some not requiring large amounts of training.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cwe have multiple programs (shelter, drop in, kids, donations, etc) so it fits a variety of ages, interests, skills, etc\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cWe have flexible and low-barrier opportunities for volunteers\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Conclusion : L&#8217;importance des ressources<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est prometteur de voir de nombreuses organisations caritatives dans notre enqu\u00eate combiner habilement des strat\u00e9gies traditionnelles et modernes pour stimuler le recrutement de b\u00e9n\u00e9voles, capturer efficacement la tendance et exploiter les motivations vari\u00e9es des b\u00e9n\u00e9voles potentiels pour naviguer dans la crise du b\u00e9n\u00e9volat. Cependant, il n&#8217;est pas facile d&#8217;adapter et de repenser les programmes de b\u00e9n\u00e9volat, comme l&#8217;affirme avec \u00e9loquence l&#8217;un des membres du panel :<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"not-prose cu-quote cu-component-spacing\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cVolunteer recruitment is not a task, it is a process that requires care, planning, and attention &#8211;
