Presenting at Healthy Resilient Communities Conference:
Amy Knobelsdorf, Dianne Kinnon, Tullio Caputo, Wanda Jamieson and Hillory Tenute will be presenting some of their work at the national Healthy Resilient Communities conference in Ottawa May 28-30. Their first presentation will provide highlights of the Values – Structures – Processes (VSP) Tool for engaging community members in developing successful and sustainable community initiatives. As well, they will host an interactive workshop on a youth engagement, mentorship and experiential learning approach to building community leadership. Team members also will offer a poster session on the Centre for Initiatives on Children, Youth and Community. The conference is hosted by Volunteer Canada, Canadian Alliance for Community Service-Learning, Algonquin College and Community First: Impacts of Community Engagement.
