These conversations work to increase expressed importance and strengthen the confidence with which individuals approach positive behaviour change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More recently, researchers, including Dr. Lee, have applied MI to the&nbsp;educational context. In post-secondary education, advisors, academic coaches, peer educators, and faculty can use MI to help uncover the values and motivations of students as they work to develop the habits and skills required for academic success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This two hour seminar with Dr. Lee will make the case for MI in higher education, and here at Carleton. Join us to learn how you can employ these techniques to foster student success.
