Despite this newfound political freedom, Kyrgyzstan has continued to face political instability in the face of a newly elected parliament. Conflict-supporting trends have been found in the following CIFP key indicators: history of armed conflict, governance and political instability, militarization, population heterogeneity, and economic performance.
