What is Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (the AODA) is a Provincial Act with a purpose of developing, implementing and enforcing accessibility standards in order to achieve accessibility for persons with disabilities with respect to goods, services, facilities, accommodation, employment, buildings, structures and premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the accessibility standards is to move organizations in Ontario forward on accessibility. The standards will set requirements in a number of key areas and will be reviewed at least every five years. New requirements may be added. Ontario will move step by step towards more accessibility for people with disabilities so that they can count on having their needs met, on a daily basis. In this way Ontario will fully benefit from the contributions, involvement and spending power of people with disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to complete the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) training?<\/strong>
\nThe online modules (AODA & Ontario Human Rights Code) take 50-60 minutes to complete. Each module must be done in one sitting. You must retain your proof of completion certificate at the end of the modules.

Mandatory Safety Awareness Training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Occupational Health and Safety Awareness and Training Regulation (O. Reg. 297\/13) under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) is the regulation that requires employers to make sure workers and supervisors complete a basic occupational health and safety awareness training program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This training introduces workers to the Occupational Health and Safety Act. It focuses on the health and safety rights and responsibilities of workers, supervisors and employers. It also serves as a general introduction to workplace health and safety.
\nHow to complete the Safety Awareness Workers Training?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The online module (E-Learning) takes 30-40 minutes to complete and must be done in one sitting. You must print your proof of completion certificate at the end of the module.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
