They have been doing collaborative ethnographic research in southwest and southeast Alaska since 2012, most recently on how the combined inevitability and unpredictability of environmental threat, including from climate change, is changing how coastal Alaskans organize themselves to take political action.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">They will be talking about what they&#8217;re finding in Alaska, and they are also interested in having a conversation about the challenge of continuing to enact their methodological preference for long-term, fine-grained, ethnographic research in a US context where the pace of environmental and political change so vastly exceeds the capacity for observation.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Where: Carleton&#8217;s Nicol Building &#8211;
