Since 1990,\u00a0CO2\u00a0emissions from international aviation have increased 83 per cent and there is no formal plan to reduce aviation emissions. Academic researchers are among the highest emitters, as a result of emissions from flying to conferences, project meetings, and fieldwork.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><u>Questions for Discussion<\/u>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">What are the forces that make us fly?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">What incentives might make us fly less?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">How can we address these issues at Carleton and encourage a low-carbon culture at the university?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We will examine some initiatives existing elsewhere and discuss possible initiatives for us at Carleton University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>JOIN US!<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Tuesday 7 February, 12 noon, 1811 Dunton Tower<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Bring your lunch.
