CLUE Symposium

May 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Location:IBM Canada Inc., 3755 Riverside Dr, Ottawa, ON K1V 1B8, Canada
Audience:Anyone

The NSERC CREATE Collaborative Learning of Usability Experiences (CLUE) training program is 3 years old! To celebrate and to promote the program, we are organizing the first CLUE symposium to bring together students and industry partners to network, students to showcase their research and internship work, and increase the visibility of the CLUE program in general.

The program will include two keynote speakers at the symposium, Liz Sanders from Ohio State University and Kevin Grignon from IBM Canada. The mix of academia and industry represents well what CLUE is all about.

  • Kevin Grignon, IBM Canada: Designing for Business: The Role of Design in Enterprise Problem Solving
  • Liz Sanders, Ohio State University: Three Slices in Time

We will also have students, industry partners, and faculty lightning talks, as well as a student poster session. For more information about participating as a presenter, please contact Tamara Torok, the CLUE coordinator at clue_coordinator@csit.carleton.ca.

Lunch and snacks will be provided. We thank IBM Canada who has graciously agreed to host the event at their offices. Advanced RSVP required to enter the IBM offices.
