Are you currently on a co-op work term? Would you like to win the chance to receive one of two $50 Amazon Gift Cards? We are accepting entries for a video contest until July 29! We are very proud of all that you have achieved and recognize your resiliency in this time. We would love to hear from you on what your experience has been so far! In order to enter the contest, you simply need to send a short video and the consent confirmation notes below to co-opprogram@carleton.ca.

Video Guidelines

  • Video should be 20 -30 seconds
  • No noticeable video filters
  • Film yourself using one to two sentences to describe your summer work term (Please keep it positive)
    • Some prompts include, but are not limited to:
      • What are some things you have learned?
      • What is a new skill you have acquired or a skill you have improved on?
      • Are you working on an interesting project?
      • Have you adapted to working from home?
      • Do you have an exceptional employer- how so?
      • What does a short snippet of your work day look like?

Entering the Contest

Each student can submit one video running for 20-30 seconds.

Submissions should be sent to co-opprogram@carleton.ca with the subject line Summer 2020 Co-op Student Video Contest

The submitted videos might be published or shared externally, including, but not limited to Carleton’s Co-op and Career Services LinkedIn or Instagram account. While this is meant to be a fun exercise, remember to present your professional self in your submission! A random draw will be done and the two names selected will receive one of two $50 Amazon Gift Cards!

The video must be submitted by email by the deadline of 11:59PM (EDT) on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

Eligibility 

The 2020 Co-operative Education Video Contest is open to all co-op students who are currently in their work term (Summer 2020) regardless of start date.

Contest Details

Ownership and Use of Photos and Videos

All submitted videos for the Co-operative Education Video Contest become the property of Carleton University’s Career Services and Co-operative Education. All contestants acknowledge that videos or photos submitted may be used by Carleton University in advertising and promotional materials for print and/or online.

Prizes

After the submission deadline, two winners will be announced by random draw and will each receive a 50$ Amazon Gift Card.

Publication

Winners’ names, videos, work term, year of study, and program details will be published as part of the winner announcement. By submitting a video for this contest, contestants acknowledge this information will be shared publicly.

Submissions that do not fully comply with the contest rules are ineligible. If you have any question on the eligibility of a video, you may contact us prior to the deadline to confirm.
