Title: Effective use of the library for Cognitive Science

Speakers: Joel Rivard, Jane Fry, Pat Moore

Abstract:

  • Library Searching (Joël Rivard): This section will walk researchers through using Omni, the library’s discovery tool. This includes conducting advanced searches as well as accessing/borrowing both print and digital materials from the Carleton library and other libraries.  The presentation will also include some information on knowledge synthesis and managing your citations.
  • Data Services & Research Data Management (Jane Fry): Our Data Services team provides quantitative research data from various disciplines in the social sciences, humanities, and life sciences. They also can help you get started with your research data management plan.
  • Planning to Publish (Pat Moore)? If you’re planning on publishing, MacOdrum Library can help! We support the full cycle of research communication, including evaluating your journal options; understanding author rights, credit, and copyright; open access support; post-publication activities; peer review and editing support. Our team can also help you navigate the researcher profile and metrics landscape.
